It was my 7th birthday and we had planned a day in the backyard with the whole family. The clouds looked very gray and dark. My mom was worried that we would not be able to play on the big water slide. It would be to cold.

Then my grandpa pulled up to the back of the house. We didn’t know why he didn’t park in the front. Then he pulled out a big jump house!!
We played in it all day! My cousins were so happy! It was the best birthday surprise ever!! My grandpa saved the day! - Calista S., Wisconsin
One day after a big snow day, my dad shoveled the driveway. There was lots of snow on the driveway. I made a tunnel in the snowbank with my new shovel that I got for Christmas. It took me a long time to dig my tunnel. My sister and I threw lots of snowballs at each other through the tunnel. Then I made an emperor tower out of huge ice balls. Then we got cold and went in the house and had hot chocolate. The End! - Jacob, Madison
My friend Lindsay and I went in our backyard and tried to make the biggest snowman ever. We didn't succeed very well we just came to two big huge snowballs. Then we went inside to get some food and back outside to build a maze for the animals that can't fly. We didn't succeed very well but we succeeded a little but we didn't get to see the animals eat the food. - Aliyah, Madison
The last time I went fishing was not long ago. I went with my cousin, aunt, and uncle on their fishing boat. I caught four fish. It was great, and fun! - Karissa, Antioch, IL
The last time I went fishing I caught a muskie. It was big and I got a picture with it! - Katie, Oregon, WI
The last time I was at my grandma's cabin, and I didn't catch a thing! - Alyssa., Age 5
The last time I was at my Grandma's cabin, I put on a fish and a worm on the fishing pole, and then I put it in a fish pole holder. I let it sit for about 10 minutes while I went to play. When I went back to check it, a fish had eaten my fish and worm, I didn't catch a thing! - Tyler, Age 8
